An injury left Tracey Falcon reliant on a wheelchair just under 3 years ago and she then found it impossible to physically manage the larger newspaper/wood artworks, referencing trees, the printing process and news making, that she had been making for the previous 16 years or so. Tracey began experimenting with smaller works and painting with oils. Once she was able to get outdoors again, she started taking photographs of the woodlands that she missed so much. Tracey has been creating digital compositions with these photographs, detailing the barriers she now faces both internally and externally. With humour, the tangle of layers she shows in these works contain elements that figure large in her new perspective of the world.
Tracey will talk about the creative potential offered through these digital works.
