Ritual

This series was created to bring into question the representation of the human body within a modern society. This is achieved through the exploration into the theoretical concept of Sigmund Freud’s ‘the Uncanny,’ and observations of surrealist practice. The project considers the works of both Dora Maar and Maurice Tabard, where the uncanny is evident within their works.
