Dance

The University of Roehampton offers one of the largest dance departments in the world with multiple undergraduate programs, several postgraduate programs and PhD supervision. The dance programs cover a rich variety of technical and performance styles, as well as studying approaches to choreography and dance analysis. The courses use dance practice and theory to develop well-rounded artists and enhance the students creativity and knowledge to provide valuable professional experience to launch a career.  

In this showcase you will be able to see a wide variety of students’ works that have been created during their time at Roehampton with the guidance of field professionals. You will be able to experience the freedom the Dance department offers for students to explore their creativity as well as witness the technical discipline that is trained during the many technique classes offered here. The work presented includes live-streamed evening length performances from our MFA choreography students, mediated works from undergraduate and postgraduate students and original choreography by Roehampton dance lecturers performed by students.
