The BA Film students at the University of Roehampton are taught a well-balanced and in-depth approach to both practical and theoretical aspects of film

The BA Film students at the University of Roehampton are taught a well-balanced and in-depth approach to both practical and theoretical aspects of film. This creates a comprehensive course that tackles both a critical awareness and informed approach to a broad range of formal and experimental film theory, as well as employing them with a range of technical skills and knowledge that creates a strong basis for a future career in film.

The School of Arts Showcase presents a range of students’ final works, reflecting the diverse creative minds that have worked and produced projects in line with this balanced, in-depth teaching style. With a basis rooted in theoretical and analytical knowledge, the students are empowered to grow confidently into their own filmmakers and artists, informed by years of both technical and theoretical development. The following works showcase a variety of styles and approaches to filmmaking from artists who have been able to grow into their own personal style, each of which having been shaped and informed by their time at Roehampton.
