A presentation around my work-in-progress, East Side Stories (working title), an exploration of the nature of home and belonging that uses a variety of techniques to visually capture elusive and shifting memories. Mixing edited and recomposed archive alongside recent footage, the upper east side of Manhattan is represented, reimagined and exalted, alongside personal but potentially universal family imagery to investigate the impact of origin and childhood.
The one-hour talk will include screening of extracts and discussion time.
